What are the current requirements for travel healthcare workers?
The minimum requirements for traveling healthcare workers include a
valid license in the discipline in which you practice, a current BCLS (CPR) card, updated
physical and vaccinations, recent clinical experience, and solid medical employment
references.

What is the typical duration of a travel assignment?
The majority of Affinity Plus travel healthcare job assignments are for
13 weeks. Occasionally, opportunities for shorter or longer assignments are available.

How long is my commitment for an assignment?
When accepting an assignment we ask that you commit to the length of
that assignment. After the assignment is completed, you are under no obligation with
that facility or with Affinity Plus Healthcare.

How will Affinity Plus Healthcare prepare me for my assignment?
Once you have accepted an assignment, your healthcare recruiter will
confirm your start date, shift, unit and salary. Behind the scenes, our travel
coordinators will ensure all travel and lodging arrangements are prepared in advance of
your arrival. We will send you a package with all the information you will need to start
your assignment, including accommodations.

Where can I go?
With Affinity Plus Healthcare you have the flexibility to travel
almost anywhere in the country. We have positions from coast to coast, in small towns and
large cities – in large teaching hospitals or in community medical centers.

Do I need a license for each state as an RN/Physical Therapist?
Yes, and you must be sure to be licensed before you begin your assignment.

Once I'm licensed to travel in one state, how long does it take to get
licensed in the next state I'm traveling to?
It depends on the state: each has different licensing regulations. You
may be able to get your license the same day you apply, or it may take up to several months.

What will my salary be?
Pay rates depend on your specialty and experience as well as the facility
and the location.

When and how will I be paid?
Affinity Plus Healthcare has a weekly pay system. You’ll be paid every
Friday during your assignment and we’ll be glad to deposit your check directly for you.

How are my taxes handled?
As your employer, Affinity Plus Healthcare withholds your taxes; you are
not an independent contractor and will not be penalized with self-employment tax. At the
end of the year, you'll receive a W-2 from every state in which you've worked. Also
options available as Independent contractor and you will receive a 1099 form and will be
responsible for your own taxes. Contact us for more information.

What happens once my assignment is complete?
If the facility would like to extend your assignment, you can continue
with them if you’d like. If you or the facility do not wish to extend your assignment,
you may contact Affinity Plus to sign up for a new assignment or permanent position
elsewhere.
